גרוני – שוקי

גרוני - שוקיTo Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this recommendation to share with you the positive training experiences I מבט הכלב. have had with Shimi Cohen and

My name is Gruny and I have a 16-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Shuki.   Although Shuki is adorable, and so innocent looking when he first came to live with me he had quite a few behaviors that needed attention. Most importantly was his TOTAL refusal to budge whenever he felt like it, no matter where we were or what we were doing.  I was extremely frustrated and at my wits end when someone recommended calling Shimi.

Shuki and I began training with Shimi in November 2012.  After an initial consultation Shimi recommended that Shuki train for about 2 weeks at his training facility, I was very reluctant to send him away but Shimi was extremely reassuring and promised to keep me up to date.   Shimi was true to his word and sent me pictures & updates every day.  As part of the training I went to the training facility a few times so we can practice all Shuki learned, and the results were amazing!  Within a few days Shuki was comfortable with basic commands and was doing his "stop & don't budge" less and less. By the time he came home he completely stopped and it became a pleasure to take him anywhere.

Shimi is always readily available. He returns calls and e-mails promptly with effective information I can put to immediate use. During sessions, Shimi addresses issues and concerns first, producing quick result, which allows us to cover new training as well.

A couple of months ago, Shuki started to bolt (one night he disappeared for over 45 minutes), a new behavior that was frightening and dangerous. I called Shimi and he immediately gave me a few techniques & also set up an appointment to train me in what to do.  I took Shimi's advice, and called him a million times with follow up questions, and practiced with Shuki almost daily. I've slowly been seeing results but didn't realize just how far Shuki had come until this past weekend. I took Shuki to Ganei Yehoshua in Tel Aviv for a big dog meet-up. We've gone before but Shuki was always on a leash because he proved himself totally untrustworthy. Well yesterday I decided to put Shuki's training to the test and let him off the leash. He was a serious champ, he had a great time running around but came immediately when I called & was never out of sight. It was such a pleasure & I can't wait for more outings.

Shimi has helped me to understand Shuki and the variety of testing he does so well. I have learned through Shimi to effectively address inappropriate behavior early so it does not become habit. I am extremely pleased with Shuki's progress and although the problems of being well behaved on walks were resolved many months ago, there is a wealth of knowledge Shuki has yet to learn with Shimi.

I highly recommend Shimi as a trainer whether you have specific issues to address or general training. I have immense pride when family, friends and strangers rave about Shuki's good behavior. I expect it, but they reinforce how well Shimi has brought Shuki along. The best part of training, it’s fun! Should you hire Shimi as your trainer, I am confident your dog will produce similar results.

Sincerely,

Gruny Tzivin
